Me and my fiance plan to move to St. Pete at the beginning of May. I was curious if anyone knows of reputable reptile shops in the area?
i am moving to jacksonville, fl in a month, so i was wondering the same thing. if someone could give me some info also.
Hi, I live in the St. Petersburg area, and I haven't really found any fabulous reptile shops, but there's a less known (at least to me) chain petstore called Petland in the Largo area that has decent reptile stuff. They have pretty much all the necessary supplies, the biggest reptile selection of any store I've ever been too, and also keep them in okay conditions. Certainly not the best. Just okay. Better than Petsmart, that's for sure. The chameleon cage at least looks moist like they have enough humidity and different species aren't all crammed in to one tiny display. So it's a pretty good little store.
There is a shop in Mandarine that I hear is pretty good. haven't been myself yet. if you are up for the drive to st. augustine, there is a petco and a small privately owned shop called pet world. they generally have good stuff.
well i live in jax so if you need anything im here. there isn't many good reptile shops around but i am sure that you could go on the internet to find one!
Blazing Reptiles on San Jose in Mandarin is pretty good. There is also another petshop on Beach Blvd about 1/2 mile west of University Blvd.
