Waxworm substrate substitute? Anything besides the wood shavings? Also can I keep them in wheat germ? Let me know :)

I mixed oatmeal, honey, stale bread, and nuts in a blender and this kept them alive until they changed into moths. Wheat germ is fine as long as they get honey to eat.

All right cool! :) I have a half gallon jar of the moths breeding now and the bottom medium is wheat germ and honey. I was wondering to know if I can keep my feeders in the wheat germ and when these waxworms grow to an appropriate size I'll put them in a blend lile that. Thanks again! :D
