Q: How do I thaw out the frozen feeder animals?
A: It is important to only offer fully thawed prey items as a food source. We recommend that you place the food items to be thawed in an air tight plastic bag and then float them in warm water long enough to ensure that there is no frozen matter remaining in the center. An alternative to the above mentioned is transferring the food items from the freezer to the refrigerator until thawed. Then the food items can be warmed utilizing the plastic bag and warm water technique also before mentioned.

The above is from the Rodent Pro website.

I would have to guess that the rodent needs to be between 90 and 100 degrees. Also, are you dangling it? Or doing the "Dead Rodent Puppet Show" as I like to call it?

Do you do the puppet show?

Also, try feeding inside your snakes enclosure. Dont take him out to eat. Just do the puppet show in front of the hide he is in. Just slow and steady movements.

Ariel was very fussy at first and I found that catching her in her hide worked the best. I would heat the prey item by soaking it in a ziplock bag in hot water and then heat the nose up with either a hot light bulb for a couple of seconds or use a hairdryer on the nose. Then dangle it with tongs in front of the opening of her hide and she would usually take it then.

Moving the snake to another enclosure for feeding can be stressing it out. Definately keep us posted.
