So far everything is going well with my beardy, but there is something that has been eating away at my mind that I would like to clear up. I know that it is impossible to tell exactly how old my beardy is. The guy who sold me my beardy obviously didn't know what he was talking about when I asked him. My beardy was 6 inches long when I got it, on the average, how old is a six inch long beardy? I am well aware of the fact that all beardies grow differently, but I just want an average so I could have something reasonable to go by.
on average, probably not more than a month or so old, unless the dragon has probems causing it to grow slowly... How long have you had it now? has he grown much in that time?
I got my beardy on October 20 2003, and it was exactly 6 Inches long. I just measured him today and he is at almost 7.5 inches. So he grew about 1.5 inches in one month. Is that good or is that just average ? I think it's pretty accurate to say he was a month when I got him, Thanx for the reply Axe.
six inches long from the tip of its nose to the end of its tail? or without its tail?? i bought mine from a reptile store and mine was only almost five inches long total and they told me he was almost three months old....hes grown about another inch and has shed two times in the last month i have had him. are they correct or do they just not know what they are talking about?
I went to a reptile store today and saw some beardies that were 3 inches long including the tail. The girl that works there told me that they were 3 months old. I highly doubt it because most beardies are that size when the hatch and then double in the first month. I think the people at the pet shop eighter don't know what they're talking about, or for some reason they lie to make people think they are older.
