Anoles wont eat!

hey guys, i have recently bought anoles....and there really cool...i have the full tank setup and there drinking and basking but refuse to eat.....i bought crickets and put a couple in there and have taken them out for three days already and they still wont eat.....someone help please!

theyre probably under a lot of stress from moving

thanks for the message sirch.....i find these guys extremely funny.....whenever i look in the cage they tend to give me an evil glare liek what do you want....they are certainly the most amusing pet i now own...i just hope they make it and end up eating

 

Try making friends with an offer of waxworms or silkworms. Mine will take those from my hand.

 

Just be sure they are very small ones if you try them.

 

Ha! I had the exact same reaction when I was first introduced to my brown anole. It imazes me how suspicious those tiny lizards can appear, and they actually look you in the eye while being spastically paranoid.

 

lol yes they do, when i drop food in there cage, they will look up at me like what took you so long, these little guys definitly have there own personalities and show them clearly.....its reall fun to have them....speaking of them i have to run out and get more pinheads and mealworms....these guys can eat!!!

i got them to eat, and man do they eat, i feed each about 2 mealworms a day and a couple of pinheads.....then two sprays of water, one in the morning and then in the evening, its cool watching them lap the water, but even cooler to see them stalk a mealworm or pinhead that doesnt know whats coming.....i also spray the bugs with calcium.....i love these little guys....
