The type of thermometer that you have swift is meant for aquariums that have water in them. They measure the temperature of the glass and the glass conducts the heat of the water better than it would the air. They're still not accurate when used properly. They can generally get the temp within 5-10 degrees, which for most fish aquariums is fine, but for others, like saltwater tanks where some species have to have certain temperatures, they are worthless. I agree that you need to get a digital or even a tempgun. You can get digitals for aroun $15-20 and a temp gun at tempgun.com for only $25. I know some people may not consider them cheap at those prices, but trust me, they're worth it. They'll work in any terrarium safely and accurately and last a lot longer than those stick on meters.
I got my digital indoor/outdoor with probe for $7.99us @ target. But it seem like you dont care. Am I wrong??
Was that directed towards me or someone else? If it was directed at me, I'd have to say i'm confused as to why.
Yes you are right. I know I should have more compasson but I couldnt stop my fingers from typeing that. To me it just seemed that swift doesnt care about accurate and proper husbandry. I asked if I was wrong and Im still waiting for a reply.....
I agree with what leona&amy is saying, it doesnt seem like swift cares about the proper care for the animal.
