I am just starting to research tegu's, and my boyfriend and I really want to get one. My question is, what is the difference btw the argentine and columbian black and white tegu. I know the argentine gets very large. I was told 3-4 feet. Is this about right? What is the difference, and what size cage would I need for a full grown columbian/argentine tegu? What is their diet like? What kind of lighting do they require? Any information would be helpful. I would really like to get one for him, but I want to know what we are getting ourselves into before I do. Are they tame/aggressive? Can you tame them if you get them young?
