One of my BPs managed to burn his tail on his heating pad wich was on the lowest setting. I just need to know how much betadine and how much warm water to mix. Thanks.

If your snake burned it's tail on a heat pad you have some other problems.
As long as the burn isnt too severe plain neosporin should be applied two to three times a day. Until the burn is healed keep the snake on paper towels or plain paper. Keep them clean and dry throughout the healing process. If the burn starts to look odd or get worse get to a vet immediately.

For the heat.... first make sure there is a half inch gap between the tank and the pad to allow air flow. Too much heat can build up if the tank is in contact with the pad. If the pad is discolored or looks burned toss it and get a new one. Also get a digital thermometer and keep the probe end placed on top of the substrate over the pad so you can keep an eye on the surface temps there.
Keep us posted on how things go!
