Somebody once told me that I could breed my male Royal/Ball with a female J.C.P. Is this recommended and/or safe? It's not something I have come across. Does anybody have one? Would love to see pics. I have no intention to breed but am just curious as I have never seen pics of any, i don't think. :(

Yeah, they are out there. I've seen pics of an Irian Jaya/Ball. I just really don't see the point and can't see any reason why anyone would want to do that. I just don't get it.

hmm yer, the more i think about it the less logical it sounds. I mean jungles like climbing etc whereas ball like the ground, and I'm sure there are many other reasons, I wonder what the characteristics are like? I'm sure there are some out there who are as happy as can be, but it doesn't seem quite right to me??

A guy on another forum crossed an Irian Jaya carpet python to a ball. Interesting pattern but not sure why someone would breed them together. The price tag on them is kind of crazy but sense they were the first produced of course the price is high

Anybody know a website or something where I could take a look at these snakes. I agree with what everybody else is saying...it is strange and what's the point but I am still curious about what they look like!

I don't think you can see the pics unless you are a member there anyway :)

From what i saw they are pretty neat looking snakes. Now, here is a question, if you were to breed two carpalls together would you get a mix of balls, carpets and carpalls? Or are they considered sterile?

Wont know if they are sterile until they attempt to breed them.
