banned?

what does it mean when someone was banned (I know what the word means but how do you get yourself banned from a forum??)

Sorry if that was a dumb question..

 

i was talking to clem in the chat room, when you get banned, it's bevcause you swear, your really annoying, or you break the rules. sometimes it can be permanent, and sometimes it's tempory.

Once banned you won't be able to use the forum.

how do you know personally if you get banned? sorry i am so embarassed to ask these questions but I'm really curious

 

If you are banned in chat it won't allow you in the room, if your banned here you won't be ab;e to post etc etc. That and your always warned before you are banned so it's pretty easy to figure out.

I would not say you are always warned before getting banned in the forums. There are cases of people just being completely rude and out of line where they will get banned immediately.

 

None the less it is only the worst offenses where that happens. When a ban does occur though you will not be able to reach the index page of the forum while logged in. Using the word always was an oversight on my part

 

I wasnt knit picking you bro. I was just trying to make a preemptive strike before someone came along and said "well so and so was never given any warnings".
