I've seen some black/gold tegus in a shop was wanting some more info on them. Basically please cover all the basics such as - how big?, how often do they eat?, what do they eat? etc.

get around 3-4ft long, and i hear they can be nasty but as long as you get a juvie or hatcling, you can tame it easily. they are totally carniorous and will eat crix, mealworms, earthworms, pinkies, mice, rats, and so on... with all monitors and tegus they should be fed everyday when hatchling and juvie and can be fed every day or every other day as subadult and adult. they need a day temperature of 85-90F and night time of 75F. basking spot should be 120F to allow proper digestion. UVB can be used, but there are breeders who use them, and breeders who dont and the animal still does fine.
