Question...I use Carefresh bedding for my rabbit and the package says it can used in reptile cages. Just curious as to whether or not anyone uses it around here. For those of you that don't know the brand name, it's recycled newspaper. Not pellets, it's a lose substrate, like little wads of paper.

From what I understand its safe just not particularly attractive and you just have to make sure to get any soiled/wet stuff out quickly so that it doesnt all get messy

From what I recall carefresh will absorb a lot of moisture out of the air in the cage. That means if you have a snake with high humidity requirements it can be a challenge to keep the humidity levels up.

Oh okay, thanks! It does absorb moisture easily so the humidity may be an issue. And you're right smiles, it wouldn't be very attractive compared to regular wood bedding.
