Hi. I just got a cherry Head tortoise and would love some advise from others about how to make him as happy and healthy as possible. He is about 8 months old and right now he is in a 20 gallon but I have a 3 foot long tank im its way. He is being really shy and it's been two days and he hasn't shown any interest in his food. If you have any suggestions on how to make him warm up to me and make him comfortable please let me know. Also any suggestions about how to best set up his new terrarium when it comes would be great too. I want him to be as happy and comfortable as I can possibly make him. Thanks in advance!
Hi Little Toes. I just got a Cherry Head Redfoot as well - on Saturday. He is in hiding a lot as well. He only eats when I put him by his food dish, but otherwise, he stays hidden. I have read and am hoping that he is just adjusting. Perhaps this is the case for yours as well.
