RE: Cornsnake showoff!!show ure corn off If you show me the picture I'll certainly do my best to tell you what it is.
RE: Cornsnake showoff!!show ure corn off Yeah Luigi sorry to dissapoint you but that sure looks like a normal to me. It could possibly be an okeetee (which is still a wild coloration of corn snake) but you might not be able to tell that till it gets older. If it's got any hidden "rare" genes those could only be proved out through breeding.
RE: Cornsnake showoff!!show ure corn off Sorry, I forgot to say anything! This is my brand new Blizzard Phase corn. I just picked her up today and she is about 2 months old. The lump under my pointer finger in the top picture is the pinkie that she ate when I was at the pet store. With her being as young as she is I wanted to make sure that she was taking mice and eating, she ate this pinkie but it was kindof funny, she the pinkie is so small, she didn't even kill it, she just started swallowing it! Anyway, let me know what you think!
RE: Cornsnake showoff!!show ure corn off you picked a good cornsnake, He looks realy kool. where did u get him from
Re: RE: Cornsnake showoff!!show ure corn off For future reference if the snake took the pinky you should have left it at the store for 48hrs. Handling a snake, and then moving it into a completely new environment and the stress that occures from that can be adverse to their health and cause regurgiation. You don't want to handle a snake if it's just eatten, period. Keep an eye out for the pinkie because it might come back up.
Thanks for the advice, I'll do that next time I pick one up, but after about 30 hours, shes kept it down. I will probably handle her on a regular basis, as a friend of mine has an adult that he leaves at his apartment at school during the summer, going home to feed her and his ball python every couple of weeks, and he bites him all the time. I want mine to stay used to being held so it won't bite. Aside from after feeding, what is generally accepted when it comes to handling corns in terms of how often and whatever else I'm not thinking of. Thanks again!
