If they are full? I have been feeding my corn, bally, and JCP a bit more intensively lately. JCP is about two years, but already huge and I fed him 8 medium rats this week, my ball python who is like 9 years old 9 large mice(he doesn't do the rat thing), and my corn about 8 rat pups(he is like 3 years old as well, and one large mouse). Thoughts on this? I'm no mature with taking car of snakes, but I have never gotten a clear answer if they will continue to eat until possible health concerns?
Hi, You must cut down on their food or you will end up with 3 seriously obese snakes. The way you are feeding will result in them developing serious health problems like a fatty liver and overworked kidneys. The maximum feed should be one or possibly two rats/mice per week. They are eating at this rate due to their natural instinct, in the wild they never know when their next meal is coming so fill up when they can. They dont realize the food will be there every week. Please cut down on their food before you get serious health probems.
yes, you overfeed them. once or twice a week or twice per two weeks is best, i feed mine once per two weeks.
yeah, the JCP just shed so I'll give him a few more days before his next feast Again, thanks guys for the help.
