Does anybody know about this lizard

Hi Florida Group,
I was down in Coral Gables this wkend and my friends were telling me about this lizard they saw that stands up on its hind legs and runs.I didn't get a chance to see one,but can someone tell me what kind of lizard this is that does this......thanks

 

sounds like someones basilisk got loose.

 

That or someones Frilled Lizard.

 

i was just give 2 of them. i bet that they are basilisks

 

Thanks for the info. They are the basilisk lizard and running wild(more then one)How are they as pets?

they are ok but not friendly they bite and draw blood. they may calm down as they get older. im willing to wait and see

About the lizard- Collard lizards are known for that too.
