    I'll buy crickets...BREEDING THEM LOOKS EWWWWWWWWW :S

How do I start a mealworm colony? It's just for 1 leopard Gecko...probably won't need a lot of worms to start with? Anyone wanna or can help? I'm 100% okay with handling beatles and mealworms, but handling crickets are....well they really freak me out, I just buy them, I don't want to breed them.

Here is a really old thread of mine from 2006 when I started breeding mealworms and superworms: Link.

I used this video's suggestions and it works awesome, I toss in some carrot pieces and the dust from my rodents food. Warmer temperatures make them evolve faster. When I say warmer I mean room temperature, Seems temps around 50ish slow them down a bit. And as far as crickets, they stink to much for me to breed. Yuck!
