Edit Function

I know this doesnt belong here..but what happened to the edit function?

Was looking to edit an earlier post, and the button is no longer there? Any of you guys notice this? Shrap (or any other mod)..has this function been removed?

 

I'm still able to edit. I think you can only edit after a short period of time. Until someone has replied or something.

 

I think that is the problem..once someone has replied, you can no longer edit your post..

 

yeah, i think it's so you can't go back and change something ("i never said that!") once someone's replied to it.

 

I noticed that as well, I noticed that one of my pics in my post didn't show up and I couldn't fix it.

 

Only the last post in a thread can be edited.

It used to be allowed, changing posts 'further up', but it was abused and threads started to make no sense and people were changing their stories etc., as diablo17 said "i never said that" was happening a lot....so, no more edit after another post has been added.

 

and skunky, it's been gone a while .

 

Oh i see whats the point in sayng i never said that when you have it in writing further up the page. Did the mods try to incriminate you? hahah

 

Some people abused the edit feature and went back and changed their posts to make other people look stupid after being called on things they'd said.

The edit feature is now only available to users on the last thread on a post, and only if that last post is theirs.

 

OR the mods can edit anything unappropriate.....

 

If it's a simple correction - like link corrections, typ-o's, you can always pm a mod and we can fix it for you.
