Just wondering if anyone who has seen an anole laying eggs could tell me if they normally get a mottled, brownish colour under their throats. I realize they are stressed (passing something the size of their head... ouch), but every so often I find Hobo in her rock cave (usually when I later think she has laid an egg), positioned to see both entrances and looking stressed. She is a brown, but this is more of a stressed look for her. Just want to make sure it's that or else I might need to go to the vet:eek:. Other than the few times I've witnessed this behaviour she seems fine.

Yeah, they usually get pretty dark brown while laying eggs. Don't worry, though; it's just from the pain of giving birth.

Thanks, she seems to get like that inside her cave (we know for sure that she has been laying eggs under it). How are you're eggs doing by the way? Any new additions to the family yet? We suspect one of ours may hatch any day and a couple of the others seem to be getting a bit larger as well. Keep you posted.
