Some of you may want to try giving large night crawlers to your Tegu's. My adolescent Arg. B&W girl has a great time flinging crawlers around and finally eating them. Of course watching is a hoot too! I don't feed her many of them, just a couple or three once a week. I suspect the worms movement is what triggers such a violent feeding response.
