yay! finally haha Moss was already asleep, curled up in her plants, so i didn't want to disturb her, but Plinko was out and about at this late hour, so here are a few pictures of her! i found out after this she doesn't really like the camera...hence her brownish tinge :/ normally quite bright, but i guess this just means no flash next time! eek here's a good one to show how much weight she's put on. in comparison to when she first came home, her stomach was almost concave! ah! and her hip bones stuck out so so far. can you tell she enjoys her crickets? tehe another chub picture. i was wondering, the bumpyness..would that be from the eggs? she's layed two so far, infertile of course. but just to be sure she's not getting sick. at the back of her enclosure and one more to show off her belly for good measure :] is it wrong i love her when she's of so chubby? hehe i should take pics right after seh's eaten..that is when she's her plumpest..so cute. that's all for pics now. i have one question though, is it normal that Plinko basks and sleeps in the open, with no coverage, while Moss remains hidden for sleep? she's out when awake, prancing about, just when sleeping. just an individual thing i assume? enjoy! - Adrian
Wooo! Thanks for the pics Adrian! Aww thats one of the cutest anoles i've ever seen! Chubby and healthy You're right, the lumps are most probably from the eggs, if you take a closer look you may be able to see them i nthe anoles stomach. As for the basking and sleeping in the open, it's perfectly normal. Each anole will have it's own personality and some are just more shy than others. Like my male, he will just stride over and bask on his vine, whereas my female will try and camoflage (sp?) herself im the greenery. Can't wait to see some pics of Moss when she's up! Luke
Finally some pics. Yes plinko looks gravid. If you have a suitable substrate, she will lay her eggs. It looks like you have been taking excellent care of your anoles. If the babies hatch you might have another problem. You might have too many babies. Each baby should be treated as an adult and given a 10 gallon tank each. You may have as many as 10 -12 babies running around soon.
Oh my gawd... I love her! It's about time you got some pictures for me to see! Haha. She's probably one of the plumpest anoles I've ever seen.. looks like she very well could be gravid, like those two said above. Keep an eye on her, but she does look healthy, happy and.. very green! Eeee! PS. I take it you have your live plants now?! I was going to stop by at the store to see you, but my dadio wanted to get back.
