Gutloading refers to feeding your insects a healthy diet before giving them to your herps. The better your insects eat, the better your herps are eating. The best gutload you'll find is from www.cricketfood.com and is what many peeps around here swear by. www.drgecko.com and a couple other sites will list recipes to home-made gutloads as well.
Things you want to avoid...fish food, cat/dog food, anything from flukers. Pretty much anything that contains chemicals and ingredients that you don't know. If it's fed to your insects, it's fed to your herps. Just like how people don't like the livestock they're eating to have been fed weird chemicals and additives, neither do your herps.
