My male bearded has a build up of what appears to be mucus in his eyes. I wash it out every morning with a warm compress, a And the next morning it is there again. He has also stopped eating since this started. Any ideas or suggestions. I'm really starting to worry.
If the discharge is white or clear, you can flush it with a sterile saline solution until it clears up. However, if it is or becomes yellow or green tinged, you'll need to see a vet as this is indicative of an actual infection which will require an antibiotic treatment. Having said that, even if it is clear or white, if it is affecting his appetite, I would see a vet regardless.
