my veield female chameleon just sits on a vine and tilts her head back and sits there all day long and doesnt do anything. she'll drink occasionaly but she wont eat at all. what's wrong with her?!?! Please help!
It is almost impossible to say without being there, but the cause is likely stress related. Does she have enough greenery to feel as if she is hiding? Does she have the proper lighting, UV and basking? Is the humidity high enough? Is she getting handled? That is more than enough stress to drive a chameleon off of feed. Anyway... hope you figure it out, just go over your entire setup step by step and verify everything. Rav
If she is not eating it could be stress related or she may have internal parasites which will also put them off their food. chameleo calyptratus are an ideal first cham. Go to the vets see what they say.
