How do you clean the tank without them getting loose?

when i clean my tank i catch my anole and place him in a seperate container till i'm done. catching them can me tricky though. mine has escaped 4 times. it's best to trick them. wiggle your fingers on one hand in front of them and with the other grab them from behind.

i do the same but you usually have to get them by the tail. mind you don't hold on to tight you can injure him but if you can move his butt up enough you can slide you hand under him. Once mine are on me they tend to not be as freaked out. The problem is then, getting them off of you into the other container, that is where my roommates come in handy (haha)

I put a kritter keeper behind him, then approach from the front. When he turns to run he ends up in the keeper and I put the lid on until I'm done with his home. Still can be quite the adventure though.

I was going to try to handle mine but it isn't worth the risk;-) I do need to seperate one during feeding because the other always gets the crickets.

Gosh, one of the kids just holds ours while I clean it. :) We pick them up from the middle, because we don't want them losing their tails. But they are used to being held.
