How is anoles pronounce?

Hay all, I am wondering how anoles is pronounced?

It depends on where you are from ; )

I pronounce it something like: uh-nole; uh-knoll; ah-nole.

Some of the southerner's (i.e. Florida) pronounce it as a-no-leee

I have to fight the urge to giggle uncontrollably when people pronounce it "anoleee" because it makes me think of cannoli, and then I think of an anole wrapped in a cannoli...anoleee cannoli. Hehehehehehehehehehe.
