Hello! I am a New member and a new Iguana owner. I was curious to know how old your Iguana has to be before he can use an Iguana leash? He's only a few weeks old and I want to give him more sunlight but I am afraid he will run off! Any tips?

    Thanks,

    Jen :(

you can see if a small leash fits - http://www.petmountain.com/product/leashes...fort-leash.html one like this kind should be good. I've used several other types and they make my igs uncomfortable, this one has done the best so far.

I would first get him used to being held and being on your shoulder. I find the first handlng is good at nite. Hold him gently and speak or sing softly to him while you pet him.

Once you feel he trusts you, buy or make a nice harness for him. Make sure he can't hang himself if it gets caught, if he takes well to it, he is ready for it, if not and he trys to pull out of it, he is not ready and should mature more.
