To eat them... yes, to eat them wild caught...no. You don't know for sure if they've been exposed to pesticides or anything like that. I would check some online feder sites and see if they carry them.

i had thought about that, but i didnt want to risk the chacne because a lot of caterpillars can be poisonous and are very prickly....take the gypsy moths....and i believe monarch caterpillars to be poisonous as welll.....but if u could find one that does not have sharp jaws (as to burrow threw the anole)....prickly body, or poisonous....then they would probably enjoy them, as long as they were fairly small

Have you tried mealworms? My anoles don't like them because they do not move very fast, but if yours like inchworms, than maybe they will like them. Also, there might be a safe way to buy inchworms online.

yuperoo, my anoles love em, especially the fight, they like to smash the mealworms body into the side of the tank or rocks, stick, etc. very entertaining, not so much for the mealworms i suppose. they sell them at patnaudes and many other pet stores, usually 50 or 100 to a container, veeery cheap, like $3.50 for the 50, and 4:50 for the 100
