I was moving a bucket in my garage two weeks ago and believe I injured the 12 inch baby black snake that was hiding under it. The first week it would try to strike but his head and top part of his neck would go sideways. After two weeks, he is doing better. His head only tilts slightly to the side but he is not 100 percent. I have been trying to get him to eat but he is very reluctant. He has tried but does not continue. Does anyone have any advice on taking care of him until he is ready to be released into the wild? I am concerned that he may not eat for several weeks and it will be too cold to let him go into the wild. If he does eat, I may keep him through the winter and let him go in the spring. My son has a 3 foot corn snake and is very good with taking care of them.
    Thanks for your help.
