    My niece named her "Goldi"
I rescued her from a guy that wasn't caring
for her and had her sharing a 10g tank with
    a Male corn snake.

I love the name, and I wish people just didnt buy animals they couldnt care, or wouldnt care for properly.

I agree, but it happens more often than we'd like to admit I'm sure..
I just picked up a 4yr old corn snake that the son kept forgetting
to care for and it bit him since he hadn't fed it in a couple of weeks.
Mom said "thats it Im getting rid of him."

In a way thats animal abuse.
Animal abuse and impulse buying arent making this problem any better, AT ALL.
Well, I mean we all impulse buy one day, but I try to avoid it. My second dart frog, Lilypad, I kinda bought on impulse. I was just skimming the web and I found this guy who had financial issues, couldnt afford to keep his dart frog (her name was Sunny D I think), so i just bought it off him and I didnt know wthe specific care of a black legged dart frog, only the general care of dart frogs.
