http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3845750/ have a lookie here..Indonesia, possibly the largest snake in captivity...a 49 foot, 990 pound retic....crazy!! No rabbits here..this guy eats 5 full grown canines a month!!
I've seen that. It was proven a hoax, though. http://www.guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0,3604,1116074,00.html There's one site, but there's plenty of them. I think the largest snake in captivity right now is Bob Clark's "Fluffy".
no, thats not even close to the biggest corny...from what ive heard lately its the burmese python at Serpent Safari in Gurnee Mills, in Illinois..its over 30' i think and 400+ lbs.
Hehe, a Burmese Python 30 feet? A female Burm is lucky to hit 18. Retic Python maybe? Did you see a site that said so? I'd like to see a link if so.
http://gurneemills.com/static/doc_GURNEE-SERPANT.jsp and actually, i dont think it was thirty feet...i think he said 27, but i dunno, you could even call and ask since theres a phone number there :-p
Baby is the LARGEST not longest. i have gone and seen him/her. It is massive quite cool to see. the place where they keep him they also have a lot of albino herps. albino iguannas, albino crocodile/alagator(sp?)(i dont remember what it was it was last summer that i gone and seen the exhibit its really cool, go if you have the chance, costs like $7 to get in thow n the tour only takes about 10min tops but you get to roam around when they're done talking.
ya, i was really disappointed with them today...we went to the mills today and we stopped in to see if they got anything new...and the new things they were about to have were dead animals...almost every single water dish was bone dry, had sand in it and what not...the albino rtb they had(thats missing an eye and blind in the other) had a piece of poop and a blob of fur sitting in the corner, it looked like it had been sitting there for a looong time, and usually it seems like they take better care of their animals, but today was just bad
baby the burmese python at serpant safari is the largest captive snake in the world. its not a retic. i know someone who used to work there from another forum.
i like how the end of the article says the real snake is with the tribe and it took thema year to find another to give the government....hehehe
