I'm not sure if its still active, but the Manasota herp society was pretty well going. Check aorund into seeing aobut that. From my experncie....theres not many ppl with herps here. And those who do have herps, dont know much and wont listen. If you had a meeting osmewhere I could get to someday I might come and pop by.
