Ok so I have 3 anoles, two female and one male. My girlfriend brought her two anoles (a male and a female) over to my place and we realized that her male started mating with my male. Is this normal. I dont think that my male is really a female. It is much larger than any of the anoles that I have, and he is all green with a large head. I think he is old, I bought him from the pet store about a month ago and they couldnt tell me how old he was. Is it possible for an old female to lose its characteristic white stripe on its back. I guess I will know for sure in a few days if my "male" anole starts laying eggs that it is really a female but until then is there any suggestions that will help me sex them other then the traditional ways. Because my anole is a male in every way except for the fact he just kinda sat there while the other male had its way with him.. thanks for your help
