Very cute. As they grow older, you will need to put them on a turtle table or outdoor enclosure.

Sorry for the quality on the last pic. He has gotten quite active now whenever he sees the camera lens and so is constantly on the move whenever a photoshoot is going on.

Staceface - All though they look simular they are seperate species.
Russians are Agrionemys horsfieldii, formaly Testudo horsfieldii and Hermans are Testudo hermanni.
Russians come from russia suprisingly :), but also china. Hermans from southern Europe e.g. spain, italy.

Look closely and you will see the different patternings on their shell.

Conny63malies, The Greek tortoise is different - testudo graeca. They are both part of the Testudo genus, but different. To be precise there are also two types of Hermans Testudo hermanni hermanni (western) and Testudo hermanni boettgeri (eastern).

The main differnce between the Greek and Hermans is that the Greek have spurs which is why they are also called spur thighed tortoises. There is quite a good comparison of the Hermans and Greek tort on Wikipedia and lots about the genus (over a dozen subspecies, save me typing :() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_Tortoise
