I just got a Hova-bator incubator and it keeps the temp at a stable 83 degrees and I have had one hatch so far and two more still in the incubator. If you want to buy a commercial incubator I got the thermal hova-bator with the picture window for for something around 65$ including shipping at lllreptile.com

Thing is with heat rocks is that they have been known to fluctuate in terms of temperatures, and you'll probably just end up cooking your eggs.

so anoles can/will eat the eggs? We have 2 pregnant females right now and I have been watching the tank looking for eggs, and of course one laid while I wasn't watching, we then saw one of the females with an egg in her mouth.

dude, just get an incubater, it's not the cheapest of options, but it is the safest
