I'm the proud owner of a beautiful baby iguana named Tango. He is currently my only permanent reptile, however I rehab wildlife near Tampa, Florida. I'm also active with the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary in Tarpon Springs. At the animal clinic where I work as a veterinary assistant, our house cat (Shaky) found a gecko in the kennel and as a result, the poor little guy lost his tail and most of the use of his left front arm. In addition, he's got some pretty bad areas where his skin is missing. I'm treating him with a very mild antibiotic salve and lots of love. He's only about an inch long total - very tiny. I want to know now what he is so that I can feed him what he needs. Currently he's getting tiny mealworms. He's white in color and similar to a leopard gecko. Just wondering if anyone's heard of them roaming free in the Tampa area??? Thanks!!
