As of Sunday I will be the proud new "daddy" of this wonderful two year old (supposedly) Columbian Boa that is approx 6' long. Up until the first successful feeding with me only been fed live so wish me luck converting her. ( I will only feed f/t or at worst p/k) I will save that debate for another post and a another time. Anyhow, here she is....... [Edited on 12/21/2002 by stormyva]
All I gotta say is WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!! She is a great snake.... really great "personality" and she took a large adult rat on my first attempt at feeding f/t to her, only three days after getting to her new home!
Froggy.... To answer your question.... NOPE There are a ton of BCI's out there in the reptile rescue though. So if you are looking for a BCI that is where I would recommend looking first!
All i have to say is if she is only 2 yrs. then wow!!!! mine is about 5 yrs and is only about 5 ft. i feed her reg. large rat about every week and a half, always eats good, and sheds good. shes in good health. as far as i can tell from the photo she is alot thicker than that one though. Oh btw very very beautiful snake.
An update I see someone dragged this post up from the past, so here's an update. Victoria is still doing great, she was really closer to 5' when I got her... but she is over 6' now and still docile as can be! Here are a couple of newer pics..... The scars on her head are from burns that she got while with her previous owners, they dont seem to effect her at all.
