    well i was wondering because the snake breeder i got it from said it was a florida/california mix and i definitely see the cali part but i was curious on what you all thought

    Judging by the pattern I would say it could be mixed with florida and cali king both.

    That would explain the coloring. I was thinking the colors were a tad different form a pure cali king but wasent sure.

    California king definitely. The chocolate brown coloring, as oposed to the standard black, is certainly interesting. I'm not sure about a Florida king, although I suppose it's possible. Florida kings usually have quite a bit of green in the coloring as you can see in the picture I've posted below. The only really interesting feature about this snake is the brown as opposed to black. As I said, I suppose it's possible that it's been crossed with a Florida King, but due to the absense of any green at all and the fact that Florida Kings have quite a bit of melanisic pigment themselves I'd have to say I'm a bit skeptical. Regardless of whether it's a hybrid or not, it's certainly a beautiful animal you have.
