Hi all. I live in northern California (just north of San Francisco) and want to buy a corn snake. Does anyone know of any good breeders in the area? If not, how should I go about finding one? I've done many internet searches for local breeders without much success. There are plenty of pet stores around here, but people have told me that it's better to buy from a breeder than from a store. Is this true?

What do you guys think about shipping snakes? There is a reputable breeder in FL who has some beautiful snakes, but I am reluctant to buy one because I don't know how hard it will be on the snake.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Welcome to Reptilerooms.com
Might want to check out a local show or reputable pet shop in your area.

Also, what kinds of things should I find out about the breeder to make sure that I'm getting a healthy snake?
