This is the new melamine enclosure I'm building. 4'x2'x18" tall. Plexi pannel in bottom is for mounting an UTH.

Wow are you supposed to put that many branches and plants in your snakes cage? I think i have to get more stuff for mine. Alot of the cages i have just have substrate on the bottom and a plant somewhere. I think i need to redecorate

you don't have to have that many plants (fake) but I put in more because the boa I got was too big for most hides so I wanted to have something for him to kinda hide behind and feel safe.

    RE: tank material

What sort of boas is going in this cage?...if columbian red tails the cage wont last long for them...lol they get way to huge...but its a excellent cage very good workmenship my burmese cage i built is sorta like this but i have sliding windo on front with inside ceramic socket for lighting basicing shelf & huge cat Liter pan for water pan for drinking bathing its like 4-5 times larger then this cage tho made of heaviest thickest treated plywood there was with like a roll of laniolum wood colors covering bottom to avoid waste & urine going into wood lined with papers daily to soak up away from flooring. Then thermo/&/Humidty gauges thru out standing legs are 2x4's all around its about 8/ft long by about 4/ft wide by 3-4f/t tall then on legs brings it up over 5/ft in height or better to eye level...it cost me roughly around $115.00 to build it...i love building cages im about to start me a same size cage project for my albino burmese male breeder.I tried the Vines & leafy plant type vines problem is with huge burmese like mine starting between 9/ft-12/ft and 14/ft they just climb around vines tearing them loose from walls of cage enclosure so i removed them all...lol thats what happens when you got that length & their weights all over 50-75pds each...lol oh well have a great day good building job & have a great herping day buh bye Striker
