Well here are some promised pics! First are pics of my new set-up i'm working on, my anoles are currently in 'temporary accomodation' and i'm currently in the process of planting out a new viv for them, and in the process, converting the aquarium too lol! Well here's what i've got so far, im gettin some plants for the middle in the next few days, i'm getting rid of that thermometer in the corner and putting my digital one in there and getting some new substrate on wednesday. I tried out the UV fittings in my lid, and they seem to have worked well. Left side of the viv: Right side of the viv: My anole pics: These were taken as a spur of the moment kinda thing when i first got them, it was when i first put them into their new cage, and took some quick pics, they're not the best pics, and as they were pretty stressed from the change of enviroment, their colours weren't at their best, but i couldn't get any decent ones tonight, so here goes.. my male, Jake And my female, Josie Enjoy!
Yes i know, that's sorted, i'm getting mesh put on the top tommorow, and i'm going to be using the heat lamp they have at the moment in their temprary enclosures.
You would aslo be takin a risk by leaving the light on the inside of the tank. Nice anoles by the way.
Its a 30 x 18 x 18. So its about a 40GAL according to http://animal-world.com/encyclo/information/calculate.htm
i must say that is a sweet tank. did u make it ur self or is i one u bought? i want to make one for my anoles cause i got a job in the after school program... anyways, what would be a good way to set up a tank for anoles? ill make a new post just in case.
I think he built it himself because it was definitely a crude looking tank. Just playing Luke. LOL don't kill me!
that is a cool set up u got there luke and a nice looking anole, thanks for shearing thoughs with us!!! CB all the way
Thanks for all the comments again! And plmars8, you better watch your back hehe only kidding. Midgetmunky, i actually got it from a car boot sale as an aquarium with no lid, and have been converting it to try and accommodate for the anoles. It has taken a bit of time, but i'm sure it will be really worth it once its completely finished!
I'll be watching my back. I know some day, a guy from the UK will come through my house and hit me on my head with a stick. Hell then say "See what you did? You didn't watch your back!"
