my first post... pardon the poor image quality (I just snapped a pic tonight). I have to use a camera phone. I'm thinking of taking the prayer plant out of there, but I'm still undecided. Its got pretty much all the stuff though: cool hide, humid hide, warm hide, water, UTH, ceramic lamp heater, thermometer, paper towel substrate, calcium and lots of attention. Anything else? This is my brand new gecko, too. Its name is Petey. I hope this post works... [/img]
I would take the plant out, real plants can be toxic, and just seem to cause problems with messes or falling over. Also, if that's your day-time temp it should really be 88-91. Cute leo and cute tank otherwise though. Welcome.
aw, that leo is adorable.... looks to maybe be a really nice hypo or an albino (i dont think i see any black on him...) And talking from experience.... as he getslarger he will go walking all over the tank climbing on everything and hes going to knock over the plant and make a big mess... lol, so possibly wedge it in a corner behind a hide or something or just take it out, nice plants though! o! it also may up the humidity too much. Nice tank though and beauty of a little leo :-D
This is mine for my 2 girls. I tried out the homemade rockwall thingy and it turned out not too bad! [/img] I think is it a 29gal I forget. The hide in the middle has 2 seperate levels for more hiding space.
Wow SuzieQ what a rock wall!! I have some updated and new tanks i will take pics of tonight and put up tomorrow :-D
lets see 'em! i dont have a digital camera with me at school, or i i would take a picture of my tank. his temporary 10 gal (juvie, 3 months) is nothing special, his 20 gal (soon) will be a work of art!
As promised, new photos Adult Leo rack: The new divided 29gal on the bottom is finally just about done: And Chill checking out his new ghetto cardboard hide i made him, lol: And Hottie sticking her tongue out at me out of her hot hide: Also just a slightly updated photo of the hatchling rack: And just an extra photo of my super and mealie breeding colonies:
Im new here, but here is mine.. Leroy is a rescue, he was on sand all of his life, I dont know how old he is or his age, as i can not tell the difference. lol This is Leroys tank. its missing a few things, as i just cleaned it when the pic was taken. This is Leroy in his rock. This is Monkey's tank Please note that monkeys tank no longer has sand stuff in it...it has paper towels like Leroys. and of course...Monkey him self.
Yea Leroy does have a large tail. I just rescued him from someone about 2 months ago. They only feed him Mealworms and he has Play sand in his tank. :-( but I cleaned it all out as you can see.
Here's my recently built tank, currently housing a Leo's Chill and Chocky. I will be making another one soon, so I am able to seperate them. (Sorry about the slightly fuzzy pictures)
Actually, tile is easier to take care of than papertowel in my opinion. I usually clean with a peroxide mixture and just wipe everything down once ever couple weeks. The tiles are removable and you can soak them if needed. It's best to keep a papertowel square in the spot your leo poops to keep cleaning easy.
