alicia- on the other hand that tank that you have would make a PERFECT crestie tank... lol. And a 20 gallon long tank would be perfect for a leo, like bigs06 said.
alicia, I would die for that tank, lol. Like stiky said, a perfect crestie tank. Like the others have said, more floorspace, less height for a leo.
A crestie is a type of gecko, they climb... a lot lol. So a crestie tank would be any tank with more height than floor space. (granted its large enough)
im very impressed with some of the vivs, given me some realy good ideas, iv had my leo about 4/5 months and i keep changed my tank round, i still havent got it just how i like it yet. heres a few pics of it when i first had it and now iv changed it. this is the first day i got "alfonso" soon took out the woodchip after some good advise. he was a bit skinny at first iv changed the substrate to tiles, much better for cleaning and i think its looks ok. (might get some darker coloured tiles though. one of alfonso nows he`s fatter. (i say he but i think its a she )
Some great looking tanks, and some great looking changes. I thought I would add mine to the list.. A bit bare, but it's still a work in progress.
I fianlly have some pics of our tanks! I have been wanting to add them to this thread, but had to wait until I got the photos! The first one is of my daughter's leo tank, Jackie... and this tank is for our new addtion when the weather warms up enough for her to ship home!!! I am also picking up another new addition this weekend...initially I was just going to buy the enclosure, but then the owner was having problems finding a home for the leo so we are taking her and the enclosure!!! I will post pics when I bring it home...AND I will be the proud new owner of a 55 gallon tank that I am picking up from a fellow RR poster...Thanks Hawsegal! I am very excited! Pics will come later... curiousKathy
Here's Buddy's nearly complete revamped home! The center section doubles as a warm(ish) hide, and humid hide on top. She loves both, spending most of her time in either one. I will be grouting the humid hide soon to make it a lot darker inside! (P.S. The tile here is warm due, perfect temperature to make the hide humid, but not dry it out too fast!) And finally a not-very-flattering picture of Buddy in her humid hide! (All movable bits are hot-glue gunned down!)
Here is Angel's tank. Max, Angel's previous owner, did an excellent job setting it up! And here's Angel... curiousKathy
xboxmember that is one of the nicest tanks i've seen! I love it, ... is that just paper town on the bottom of the tank as a floor? Overall i love that tank!
