OK, So I'm planning on getting a Green Anole within the next year or so, and I would like some suggestions for quality Supplies.

I have read alot of guides, but I still don't know exactly what is good.
I have a 20 Gallon tank that is 30"x12"x12" in dimensions and I have a lid that has a place for fluorescent light that is 27"x4"
I also have a good desktop lamp that would suffice as a Basking light, but I still need a Bulb.

Here are things I am thinking of getting for his enclosure so far.

Substrate: Bed-A-Beast Litter or Eco Earth ( or some organic soil that is Lizard safe )

Mister: I Want to try and get Habba Mist from Zoo Med, but I am probably going to just use a misting bottle.

Thermometer and Hygrometer: Fluker's Digital Thermometer and Hygrometer.

Basking Light Bulb: ESU Reptile Red Heat Basking Lamp 50 watts

UVB/UVA Bulb: ZooMed Reptisun 5.0 UVB Fluorescent Bulbs

Fluorescent Light: I'm not sure about this one...

I will add other things when they are suggested or I spot them...

And my Main dilemna is that I haven't been able to find any small business Reptile Stores, as I live in Maine. ( If you know of any, Please PM me. )

Any help would be HIGHLY appreciated.

    Sincerely Signed, Sam I Am.

I think ZooMed 2.0 bulbs are good for florescent. I used an MVB because its got both UVB/UVA and is heating. But its expeeensive.

No, the Repti Sun 5.0 by Zoo Med is more apt for green anoles. It provides the adequate UVA and UVB rays you need. It exhibits 5% UVB and 30% UVA rays, perfect for those little reptiles. :(

Oh, and the "flourescent strip" IS the UV bulb. You do not want BOTH a UV flourescent and a regular flourescent, JUST the UV flourescent strip will suffice, along with a basking bulb (a regular incandescent will work fine and is cheaper). Given your tank size 1-2 basking lights will suffice.

Thank you for the advice. ( But when I said Fluorescent light, I meant what you put the Fluorescent bulb into. )
And I tested how hot I could get the tank with JUST the basking light I have, and it reached a peak of 81.6* Fahrenheit in the Basking Spot, so you were right, I WILL need a second basking light. ( And I will probably use a colored Incandescent for one and a regular Incandescent for the other. )

    Sincerely Signed, Sam I Am.

I have a 30 gallon tall, and I have 2 basking lights in my enclosure: a 60 watt at the highest and warmest spot and a 40 watt near some foliage for an extra basking spot and also to add heat to the cage, since just the 60 watt doesn't suffice. What wattage was the bulb you used???

Don't forget to get lots of plants so that they will have lots of climbing areas.

DragonTU84: I used a 75 watt incandescent bulb, and I put it on one end of the tank. But I guess I only left the light on for two hours, so I might try again...

anoleboy2: Yeah, I really do need to get alot of foliage, But should I use Fake Plants, or Real Plants?
( and if fake, what kind is good, and if Real, what kind is good? )

P.S. I Would change my first post but I can't edit it.

You could use either type of plant I think you can use any plastic plants and if you use live plants I would recommend bromilads, snake plants, pothos, or any other non-toxic plant that you can find that is small enough.

Thanks, I think I will use some real plants to help with humidity.

EDIT: I just thought of whether I should put the heat lights on the side of the tank, or on top of the tank?

They should go over the screen lid so the heat and light can get into the aquarium. Just placing them on the side of the glass will NOT allow any of the heat from the bulbs to get into the tank. If you do not have a screen lid for your aquarium/terrarium, then make sure you purchase one. It can be placed directly on top of the screen or you can use a clamp lamp and clamp it so it dangles above the screen lid, but I have mine duck-taped to the screen lid so they won't fall off, and I have nowhere to clamp the lights anyway. I usually get the clamp lamps at Home depot, and I get the 5.5" diameter clamp lamps. They are much cheaper than the ones they sell at the pet store, and you can use regular incandescents for the light bulbs (didn't know if I already stated this or not).
