Hi, I purchased a green anole on thursday and they guy in the petshop set him all up ready for me. We named him Reptar. The guy in the petshop gave me a bag of 10 or so crickets and told me to tip them in when i got home and he would eat them as and when. Since we did that he's only eaten one and the crickets are just staying well away on top of a plant. I'm so worried im starving him! Also about 4 crickets have died! Am i doing something terribly wrong? I followed the guys advice! Oh another thing i noticed one of the crickets nibbling his tail, my anode just turned round to look at him and didnt even try to eat him, when one comes near him he follows them but never actually eats them, Pls help, thanx! x
My skinny anole! I just go my anole on thursday and the petshop guy told me he was fully grown at 12 mths old. Ive been looking at the pics in the forum and my anole is exteamly skinny! I can see all his bones and he looks very frail! He is the "size zero" of the anole world! What shall i do?
Did you buy him yesterday? He may just be getting used to his new home. I'd remove all the crickets now as they seem to be stressing him out. Also could you give us a rundown of your setup? That way we can eliminate any husbandry related issues. Luke
I also merged your other threads, as it'd be easier to talk about the issue & keep it within one thread.
