RE: prices Snakes in that range include Corn Snakes, Ball Pythons, Kingsnakes, and a few species of Boa. And welcome to the forums!
Welcome! Yup, corn snakes, king snakes, milk snakes, some ball pythons, some rat snakes, rosy boas, sand boas...
Are you thinking about getting a snake, Hyun? If you are, just remember you still need to think about the cost of the set-up.
Thee is much more to inquire about then the price. You could easily find a snake that cheap that will grow to big for you to handle. Others might have care requirements that you won't be able to meet and/or fully understand. Now there's one very important word that I'm suprised I didn't see here yet. that word is RESEARCH!
Both Cornyguy and Herpboy are right, there's SO much more to buying a snake than just price. Remember that the price of a snake is maybe 1/3 of the price of the setup with cages, thermometers, thermostats, UTHs, lamps, hides etc. I know I never anticipated/budgeted for things costing so much when I bought my snake!! Also, you should be looking for a snake based on it's characteristics - size, temperament, husbandry requirements etc - that suit you and your interests. Rather narrow the list down to know what you want, and then see how much it costs. I'm sure I/you could get a hot for less than $80
thank you all for your help i am trying to encourage my parents to let me buy a snake. well thank you all! hopefully they say yes
The snakes mentioned on this post are all great beginner snakes and definitely fall into that price range. Pick a couple of them and start doing as much research (books, online info, asking experienced keepers, etc.) as you can. P.S.> Don't forget Western hognoses, Gopher snakes and Children's pythons. reako45
Still i know that they maybe tame but there still is a chance of being bit was just pointing that out
