Hi, I have several geckos living in my house, and I accidentally injured its foot pretty badly, will it be able to regrow its foot or is it a permanent injury? Do you know of anything I can do to help it? Im pretty scared. its tail also dropped off, is it a clean break? Dont worry ill let the gecko free again after I figure out if I can do anything to help it.

Common misconception that lizards can regrow limbs (discluding tail of course). Tail should regrow just fine. Geckoes, like some other lizards do this to avoid being eaten. As for the foot it might heal, depending on what exactly the injury is. Lizard are unable to regrow legs, this is an ability amphibians have (for example salamanders, very well known for their ability to do this), but not most reptiles. I would leave it for now, but monitor its progress very thoroughly.
