Anyone know what it means when an anole is rubbing it's face (mouth and nose) back and forth across a branch? The branch is sanitized, baked, and very finely sanded, so slivers aren't really an issue I don't think. Just curious.

I saw that with our anoles, and I also see it now with our beardies.

It seems it's a prelude to shedding. I was a lil worried the first time I saw it too, but they just got an itch and needed to scratch it :)

Thanks Axe. Wasn't really worried... just curious as it looks kind of funny to see them doing that. All seems to be going well so far with the other two babies. Move them both into a new enclosure today. Cleaning and sterilizing the other one and then I'll separate them. Doesn't seem quite as bad in the new enclosure... a lot more foliage to hide in, but I'm going with separate enclosures anyways. How's Myst doing? Still well I hope.
