sav tail problem? maybe not?

i have just recently noticed cardboard?(my sav monitor) has one white ring of scales forming around his tail. i have never seen this or heard of this happening, so i thought i would ask you experienced sav keepers if you know of what is going on, and if i should be worrying about it.
i will try to get my camera working to take a picture of it soon.

Is it possibly retain shed on the tail? Only ask as had something simular happen to one of our iggys and that was the culprit.

 

i thought thats what it was. because he did just recently finnish shedding, but i tryed to rub it off and it seems to be a colour changing in that one spot on his tail....its actually starting to fade now.....hope its not anything fatal!

ok, its like completely gone now. maybe it was just a few scales that didnt want to shed when the rest did. maybe they just werent ready???? thanks guys.
