Has anyone ever fed silkworms to your anole?

My guy's an outside anole who's simply spending the winter inside, and I'm not sure if it's a good idea to feed him an exotic diet.

If the silies are small enough, go ahead. I hand feed several of our large wild anole males in the yard crickets, waxworms, silkies and fesh shed superworms all the time.

Thanks for the feedback! I accidentally let too many silkies hatch, and they're getting to the right size for a little anole. Maybe next summer, I can set out a few extra treats for him and his comrades, too.

Thats nice you did that for the anole. Does it get cold where you live?
